Review: Meghan Fabulous Christina Sweater Jacket

Review: I love the Christina Sweater in Black (On Sale for $79) from Meghan Fabulous. As a lover of just about anything vintage, I fell in love with the vintage-inspired Christina Sweater Jacket. This picture doesn't do this sweater jacket much justice. All of the intricate details from the rhinestones detailing the buttons to the embellished flower on the shoulder have a luxurious look and feel. They only have one Christina Sweater available in red. I'm hoping they will come out with the same sweater next year in more colors!

This New York Fashion Week Havaianas took over the IMG Lounge backstage with their famous “Make Your Own Havaianas” booth. Guests in the lounge were invited to personalize their own limited edition pair with initials, studs, or Swarovski crystals in different colors. Jennifer Love Hewitt customized the white limited edition Havaianas with her initials and made another pair for her mom! Amanda Bynes and Michelle Trachtenberg customized the charcoal limited edition with their initials too!

I know there's a reason for everything. What inspired you to launch Christa Taylor? It began with my increasing frustration with the paucity of clothing available that matched my desire for modesty and style. It simply didn't exist. In the end, we decided to take the risk, launch our own line and see if there were other women out there who felt the same way we did. Apparently there was ;)

How long did it take to open your business after giving it a thought? The idea first began incubating when I was 17, we launched Jan 15, 2007, 2 years later.

Is everything that you carry handmade by you? Alas, no (if you only knew how bad I was at sewing!). All of our clothing is crafted by manufacturers either here in the US (sometimes right here in Portland, OR) Italy or Asia.

What is your main goal with your business? I would answer that in three ways, my goal as co-founder is 1) – to be profitable, without cash flow it all falls apart. 2) to provide chic modest apparel and promote femininity in the fashion industry and 3) to support social justice and missions organizations throughout the world, particularly in Cambodia.

What is your main goal in life? To bring honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to show His love to others.

Is this something you love and want to do five years from now? Christa-Taylor is very challenging but very fun. Inevitably I would like to train someone else to do my job so I can be freed up to be a wife and mother
