InStyleSwimwear.com is known for their fabulous selection of one piece swimsuits, hats, bikinis, jewelry, swimsuit coverups, and sandals, featuring more than 50 brands and 600 styles of women's swimsuits and men's swimwear. Some of their brands include Betsey Johnson, Banana Moon, Michael Kors, ViX Swimwear, Beach Bunny, 6 Shore Road, and Debbie Katz.

I can hardly wait for Spring to make it's arrival, because I'll be donning the Wind Sandals by Melissa Shoes ($73). These glittery gold flat rubber sandals feature a coral and gold chiffon scarf that adds a burst of color and style to any warm weather look. These sandals lace up for a beautiful gladiator style. They are superbly comfortable and look flattering and elegant on my legs. I've noticed that other sites sell these sandals in other colors. Therefore, I'd love to eventually buy the others since this is one of the most unique and flattering sandals I've come across so far.

Gigi Hill Bags are smart, stylish, functional, and fashionable bags for busy moms and on-the-go women. The Elizabeth ($158; Available in Athena Black/Baby Luxe, Athena Bronze / Baby Luxe, Country Villa/English Chocolate, Dusk/Bordeaux, Fleur de Lis/Bordeaux, Vintage Rose/Pink Bengaline, and Willow/City Red) is the first ever bag designed by the Gigi Hill Founders. They proudly call it their weekender bag, but you would love to carry it everyday! I received the Dynasty print (pictured above). Hats.com Review

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Fedora hats conjure the image of sophisticated crooners, bank robbers, prohibition-era lawbreakers, and bootleggers of the heyday. They're undeniably timeless and exude style and class. Businessman and Hollywood stars consider them as a staple. They have also been featured in top notch films like American Gangsters to Indiana Jones. As the cold weather is settling in on us, there is no better time to update your look than with a new hat. The Bailey of Hollywood Gangster Hat ($65; Available in Black, Cordova, or Dark Grey) is reminiscent of the gangster fedora favored by infamous crooks such as Al Capone, Dutch Schultz, Jack "Legs" Diamond, Bugsy Siegel, and John Dillinger. These men were ruthless criminals and all around bad guys, but their smooth and articulate style was undeniable.

I opted for the Bailey of Hollywood Gangster Hat in Black, because the feather accent made it stood out from the other hats. However, the lining is what makes it really unique since it features images of iconic gangsters. It's beautifully constructed of 100% wool and has a wide grosgrain headband & bow. It sells for $65, which is quite a deal due to the quality hat you will receive. My oldest brother loves wearing hats. So, I know that he will look dapper in his new hat!

I also love the Bailey of Hollywood Barr Hat ($100), Bailey of Hollywood Clayd Hat ($70), Kaminski XY Carry Fedora ($245), and Bailey of Hollywood Torrance Hat ($65).

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Tarte Cosmetics "Puttin' on the Glitz" Limited-Edition Color Collection & Clutch Review

The Tarte Cosmetics "Puttin' on the Glitz" Limited-Edition Color Collection & Clutch ($48) is an essential gift for the beauty connoisseur that loves to multi-task. It's inspired by the screen legends of the heyday, making it a highly coveted beauty collection to shine this holiday season!

Each Set Includes:

- 3 interchangeable palettes for a total of 18 Eyeshadows, 1 Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blush, 1 Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder, and 1 Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Bronzer

- Maracuja-Infused Lipgloss

- Reusable purse that features 4 credit card slots and a removable mirror

- Detailed "get-the-look" instruction card

The silver carry-all is this season's most sought-after accessory, and their clutch is something to marvel at! It features a slim row of gold-tone links and stunning metallic faux python leather.

The shades in the three palettes are equally impressive! You can easily slip them in and out of your clutch for a quick touch-up. My favorite palette is the Girls' Night Out, because it is ideal for that sexy, smoky look that I'm quite fond of. It has a mixture of vivid mattes and silverspun shimmers complete with Amazonian clay shimmering powder in champagne. The "A Walk in the Park" palette features a mixture of cool and warm easy-to-wear natural shades including Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in darling (a soft shimmering coral pink), which is ideal for a feminine, natural look. The "Nine-to-Five" palette features not-so-quiet rich colors paired with traditional neutrals and Tarte's best-selling Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Bronzer inside for a fresh faced healthy glow. Appropriately named, it's ideal for the working girl who wants a soft, yet sophisticated look.

Monroe and Main Review

Sunday, December 18, 2011

Monroe and Main are dedicated to bringing you flattering fashions, fabulous footwear and the latest accessories. Whether you're heading to the office, out on the town, or off on a fun-filled get-away, they can help you put your look together with mix and match staples.

From casual to career wear, they offer attainable styles that are on trend but never trendy, with distinctively feminine details. Best of all, you don't have to sacrifice comfort for style. They choose apparel that features ultra-feminine styling with a relaxed fit.

Like them on Facebook and/or follow them via Twitter to keep up with the latest deets.

The Flamenco Ruffle Trench ($129.95 - $139.95; Available in Black, Red, or Champagne) exudes exquisitely of femininity and unapologetic sophistication. I opted for the Black, because this shade is classic, making me feel professional and regal. It fits me beautifully, because it is true to size. It's very comfortable! The length of the coat is perfect for me and the material is soft, but not too heavy. It would be great to wear for seasons in between and you can just throw it on to add an additional oomph of luxury.

The picture of the Flamenco Ruffle Trench wasn't deceiving in the least, because it looks exactly like it does in the picture, details and color. I've worn it a few times already, and one of my sisters borrowed it for a holiday party without me knowing about it. Needless to say, it's the kind of trench coat that you'd probably want to hide, because everyone will want to borrow it.

Budget-Friendly Holiday Fashion Tips for the Fashionista

Tuesday, December 06, 2011

With shopping season at its peak, a closet filled with presents for your loved ones may leave you with no budget for your own wardrobe. And digging deep into your closet for a recycled getup may result in a disastrous fashion faux pas. Its holiday party season and you need a solution—FAST! With these guidelines from Fashion Designer and Expert Claudia Patel get inspired and update your look. Jingle your way to the top of the ‘nice’ list—of best holiday look, that is.

When in Doubt, Stick to Basics

It’s always easier to update a basic look, then to downplay a one hit wonder. Steer clear of last season’s printed trends that have expired. Spice up winter white, nude and black with the right accessories. Wearing nude? Throw on a black blazer, grab your basic black pumps and pair it with big drop down earrings and one of this season’s bold nail colors like deep reds or blues. Transform your LBD into a soft feminine look with a neutral flowy cardigan and neutral pumps perfect for this year’s office party. Browse your closet and play with complimentary colors without being too matchy-matchy.

If it fits like a glove, that is your statement.

Elle Strauss, Senior Fashion Editor for "Lucky" Magazine

Patterned Tights/Stockings

A simple way to update a recycled dress would be to pair it with patterned tights. Strut into your friend’s holiday party with the confidence of a true fashionista. Whether lace or leopard, make sure your patterns don’t clash with your dress. Stick to a basic color dress and play up your legs. Try a nude dress with black lace tights, or a black dress with bold animal print. Steer clear of patterned dresses with patterned leggings/stockings — you don’t want to overdo bold.

Sweater Dress Comeback

Remember when you bought tons of long sweaters to compliment your tights? Well, your sweater dress can make a big comeback at this year’s holiday party—appropriate for work parties and social gatherings with friends. Grab your favorite dressy long sweater, and if it’s patterned or printed pair it with a pair of nude or black peep toe pumps. For solid colors, throw on a wide playful belt. We're feverishly fawning over the Baby Doll Sweater Dress ($115 at On the Hook).

A Dress Nip and Tuck

A stylist’s secret can be your biggest holiday savior—hem tape. Have a knee-length LBD tucked away in the back of your closet? Give it a quick – yet stunning style makeover with simple altercations.

Get the Luxurious Runway Look for Less

While it may seem silly to begin thinking of color pallets and mini vs. maxi dresses, now is the time to snag looks still on sale from summer 2011 that will translate into 2012.

For example, Marc Jacobs showed bold colors in a minimalistic style for next spring. The grand dame of New York fashion, Diane von Furstenberg, splashed her runway with brilliant whites and light greens paired with beige. All can be found at post-summer sales and repurposed for next year.

1. Shop Sample Sales

Search for sample sales in your city for a chance to score current designer looks for a fraction of the cost. For those who don't live near a big city where such fashion sales are abundant, don't stress. You can shop flash-sale websites like Gilt Groupe, which feature designer duds for 50 to 70-percent off. Returns are accepted on most merchandise, but make sure to read the site's policy before making the purchase so you don't get stuck with ill-fitting goods.

2. Consignment Shops

Second-hand stores dedicated to designer fashion are popping up in many major cities. You can also find gently used fashion online at Plato's Closet, where you can sell your undesired clothes as well. As with traditional retailers, consignment shops are selling off last summer's clothing and accessories. Personally, I love scouring the racks at thrift stores. I've found a black Betsey Johnson cocktail dress for $10 and a black Rachel Pally maxi dress for $3 - both were like new!

3. Use Coupons

Don't dismiss the cost cutting potential coupons offer. Even high-fashion retailers these days rely on money-saving vouchers to attract new customers.

4. Swap

Coordinate a clothing swap with friends or coworkers. Or try swapping clothes and accessories online at such sites as Rehash Clothes.

5. Follow the 30/70 Rule

Maintain a wardrobe that's roughly 30 percent trendy and 70-percent staple pieces that won't go out of style. You then won't feel the need to restock your closet every season but can still mix and match to recreate the latest looks.

6. Department Store Designer Finds

More and more high-fashion designers are collaborating with department stores and discount retailers to offer exclusive and affordable collections for everyday women. Check out Simply Vera Wang at Kohl's and Lela Rose for Payless to find the styles you crave and prices your wallet can manage.

7. Nix the Dry Cleaning

Avoid clothing that requires dry cleaning and, if not possible, buy products you can clean with the popular dry-cleaning pouches you just pop into your dryer. While it's not exactly dry cleaning, the result is the same.

8. Rent What What You Can't Buy

When it comes to a special event, the most affordable and practical options for finding designer frocks is renting. Some sites offer current season fashion from over 95 top designers at 90-percent less than retail prices. Simply choose a dress or piece of cartilage jewelry you wish to wear and return it after the occasion.
