Muse Clothing for the Bold and Daring Woman

Monday, April 30, 2012

Gracefully easing their way into the fashion scene in 1999, Muse offers fashion-forward designs for the modern, yet sophisticated woman in mind. They combine flair and innovation to produce a timeless style that others can't help but notice once you make your entrance in a room. Fashionable, confident, and independent, the Muse woman doesn't follow trends. She sets them instead.

I'm currently 6 months pregnant with my second child, but this hasn't deter me from wanting to dress fashionable. I was perfectly pleased to come across a store such as Muse, because their bold, fun, and vibrant designs are well-suited for my personal style. The Vintage Floral Twist Neck Halter ($148) and Pleated Chiffon Swing Dress ($158) that I received perfectly conveys that resort-ready look - chic, relaxed, and luxe.

This is one of my go-to dresses, because it is so, so comfortable! It comes with a beige rope belt, which makes it stand out even more. I don't always wear the belt with it since it can be uncomfortable at times due to my expanding belly (6 months pregnant). The neck halter makes this dress even more fun and flirty!

This dress features a stainglass print with inverted pleats, giving it that Nicole Richie-esque, bohemian look that I am fond of. I love pairing it with my 1928 Jewelry Claudia Stretch Cuff Bracelet ($36) and Luichiny Open-Toe Suede Pumps ($89.95; Aqua Green). Unlike the other dress, it doesn't come with a belt, but I think it's still fun to pair it with one at times, such as the one shown in the picture above!

In Bloom by Jonquil Review

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

Inspired by her silent movie actress Great-Aunt and fashion illustrator Grandmother, Diane Samandi began sewing patchwork bikinis in the front window of her San Francisco Victorian in the late 1970's. Diane had always loved old Hollywood glamour and vintage design and with those elements in mind, bikinis soon became dresses, and dresses became exquisite lingerie.

In 1980, Diane founded Jonquil, a romantic lingerie line well known for its lavish laces and intricate detail. A favorite with brides, Jonquil has enjoyed thirty years of success, and is one of the most sought after lines in the lingerie world. You can find her bridal lingerie, loungewear, sleepwear, and nightgowns at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, the finest specialty boutiques worldwide, and her web-site .

Stay connected with them via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr , YouTube, Google Plus, and Pinterest.

I love to lounge in comfortable yet fashionable clothing when I'm at home, so I chose two maxi gowns, the In Bloom by Jonquil Butterflies are Free (Regularly: $68 On Sale: $44.90) and Josianne (Regularly: $68 On Sale: $45). They can either be worn to bed or as a lounge wear. I like that both gowns are lightweight, breathable, luxuriously soft, and sexy without pushing the envelope, making it the perfect loungewear since I never know who will drop by when I'm lounging around. Also, it's usually hard for me to wear long dresses or gowns because of my height. However, the long length is perfect for my petite height.

The Butterflies are Free Maxi Gown is far by my favorite because of my love for butterflies. The ruffle straps and detail under bust adds a playful touch of femininity. The Josianne Maxi Gown features a lace inset at the bust, which makes it effortlessly elegant. It also has a surplus bra with tucking details.

Nancy Rose Performance Review

Friday, April 13, 2012

Nancy Rose Performance transcends conventional activewear trends by modernizing traditional garments without sacrificing functionality. Through the addition of sophisticated and edgy details, each piece is beautifully constructed while still maintaining the flexibility, breathability, and comfort essential for workout apparel

Nancy Rose Performance features sculptural silhouettes that thrive on statements of detail and vibrancy of color. Additionally, the line offers the newest innovation in high-performance fabrics. Each garment is engineered with supreme quality and designed for optimal movement. Testing is conducted in real-life workout conditions ensuring that Nancy Rose Performance will look great and provide a superior fit.

Working out naturally gives me a burst of confidence, because I know that I am doing something good for my health and overall appearance. Nothing gets me motivated better to work out than wearing stylish yet functional work out clothing, because it makes me feel and look great! I was recently introduced to Nancy Rose Performance, a line of designer workout and yoga clothes that are made from the finest fabrics, which they promise you that will last for years to come!

I normally don't like the looks of most workout tank tops (too plain!), but the Rouched Front Tank Top ($74; Available in Black, Ultra Turquoise, or Amethyst) is anything but ordinary. It features a rouched front, which camouflages less than perfect spots. It also has a supportive, built-in bra that ensures that everything is kept in place. This essential when you're doing a yoga pose and having to bend over, because we all know that nothing is more unattractive than letting your "girls" run wild!

The Rouched Front Tank Top is made from their own specially sourced performance cotton blended with Lycra®, giving you that second skin feel without being uncomfortable or constrictive in the least. This makes it perfect for yoga, Pilates, barre method, and Zumba. You can even wear when you're not working by wearing it as a camisole under your favorite shirt or jacket.

The Plank Colorblock Crop – Crop Pants ($74; Available in Black/Lava) are one of my top favorite workout pants to wear. Not only they're ultra flattering, but they're also extremely comfortable. I find myself lounging in these pants, even when I'm not doing light exercise (I have to keep it done in moderation since I'm in my sixth month of pregnancy.) or going for a long walk. I also love that they are naturally wicking. This ensures that you stay cool and dry during a workout. I'll definitely be wearing these pants to Zumba class, but this will not happen until after my daughter is born!

It has been feeling like Spring for the last few months, and this was even before Spring officially began. I'm not the one to complain, considering that I'm not fond of cold weather at all, yet I'm not particularly fond of sweltering, humid weather either! The only thing I enjoy about winter is dressing up in boots, keeping my feet warm and cozy. I was recently introduced to my new favorite pair of boots, the Leopard Boots by Aussie Dogs. Originally $160, these fashionable and comfortable boots are currently on sale for $75!

These boots feature a natural leopard-print, and they're made with 100% sheepskin lining and pigskin outer for extra durability with an EVA sole. I've tried them on, and I had to muster up the courage to take them off. They were that comfortable for this mom-to-be! I'll certainly be donning them when the cold weather settles in later on this year.

They also have an adorable kids collection. I might have to buy the Infant Coaster Boots ($40) for my pending arrival. I also like the Kids Coaster ($50) for my son. My love for their brand doesn't come to halt there, because I can't help but swoon over their rainboots. I normally don't wear rainboots, but I might have to reconsider!
