Thrifty Chick

Long as I can remember, I have always had an insatiable love for fashion. As a little girl, I'd sift through the pages of fashion publications, such as Glamour (they have a great article on chic minimalist dresses under $100), dreaming of someday having some of the pieces that were adorned on their glossy pages.

Even then, I knew if you loved fashion that you had to pay its price. Thankfully, my mother instilled early on the value of the dollar. This is why I still love to scour the clearance racks, go to yard sales, and thrift stores. My best designer finds up-to-date has been my $400 ABS Allen Schwartz wedding dress that I bought for $15, which was an even more fantastic deal since it was just like new; Betsey Johnson cocktail dress for $10, and a Rachel Pally maxi dress for $3.

When I'm not scouring the racks for budget-friendly designer items, I love to enlist on the help of coupon sites to save at my favorite online stores and brands. I feel like why pay more when you can save using coupons?

The dress I got married in was $25 at Ross, and you'd never know! Designer finds are even better!
