AIR-O-SWISS sent us the AOS 7144 Digital Warm & Cool Mist Ultrasonic ($199). This energy-efficient humidifier is not just sleek and modern, but it truly does deliver! It humidifies the air in rooms up to 650 sq. ft. (60m²). As someone who has bad sinus and allergy problems, this humidifier has helped my breathing tremendously. Dry air can cause a plethora of problems regardless if you suffer from bad sinus or allergy problems. It can dry out the membranes, cause your eyes to sting, make infections worse, bring on illnesses, make you tired, cause poor concentration, etc. Not good at all. I honestly did not know all of this until I read the pamphlet that I received with the humidifier. Luckily, I found one that will help eliminate these problems.

This Digital Ultrasonic Humidifier, which uses high-frequency vibrations to generate a micro-fine mist when blown into a room, immediately evaporates. The pre-heating function and mist exits the appliance at a pleasant 104 °F. «ITC™» technology (Intelligent Temperature Compensation) monitors the temperature and automatically adjusts the output when conditions change. A replaceable demineralization (Ag+ Ionic Silver Technology) cartridge ensures water mist without lime scale or mineral residues, and the AIR-O-SWISS quad-band microbial protection system helps prevent microbial growth in the water base. This is particularly important when the humidifier is not used for some time with water remaining in the base.

I like that this humidifier is very easy to use and clean. With most humidifiers, you have to clean them every so often to keep germs away. Not this one. You can use the EZCal Cleaner & Descaler ($6.99) every two weeks to ensure a clean humidifier and continuous high performance. One box includes 3 individual packets, use just one packet per cleaning. AIR-O-SWISS humidifiers include a sample package of EZCal. The AOS 7144 Digital Warm & Cool Mist Ultrasonic also includes a AOS 7017 Ionic Silver Stick, which should be replaced once a year. The AOS 7017 Ionic Silver Stick uses the anti-microbial effect of silver to prevent the growth of microbes in the water base.
