FATHER’S DAY: Dad deserves VIP treatment. This season, many retailers aren’t only thinking about what dad looks like, but also how he feels. Las Vegas heat is dry; for the man who wants to keep his face moisturized, there’s Kiehl’s Since 1851 and their line of skin care specifically effective for the desert. Time is of the essence; Tourneau has numerous men’s lines that go with anything. Cologne is a little bit of a gimme on Father’s Day, but what about a practical travel bag from Hugo Boss? Ermenegildo Zegna spices up any closet with its line of cufflinks, as well as ties, ties and more ties. Then there’s Thomas Pink’s impeccable range of shirts, ties and accessories in various colors and shades.

For 125 years this venerable New York institution with its colorful history has entertained the famous, the infamous and everyone else who appreciate the ambiance and food of a real saloon. The pay phone will remain “Out of Order” and the broken cigarette machine will remain broken. P.J.'s famous jukebox will play Frank, Buddy and Sting. Democracy reigns in the dining room as the newsmaker rubs shoulders with the CEO sitting next to the ironworker. For the first time, P.J. Clarke’s will welcome Las Vegas guests for good food, good drink and great conversation. (Opening date: Winter 2010)
