APART Style Review

Monday, April 11, 2011

Introducing the newest, absolutely irresistible fashion brand to hit stateside, APART. They want their customers to associate APART with always being the sleek, fashion-forward yet classic name they can trust. They provide looks for your real life and styles for your personal runway: whether that includes making a stiletto sprint to the office or that trip to the farmer’s market.

My love for the Epaulet Military Blouse in Army Green ($118) was instantaneous, because it is a bit different than anything I have ever worn before. It's sleek, laid-back, and chic with a slightly boyish appeal. They offer this blouse in a size 0 - 14 and it is very true to size. It features embellished shoulders, a graceful mandarin neckline, and exquisite pocket detailing (a bronze safety pin with a chain dangling down from it). You can even add a belt to this blouse for an even more dazzling look. Just grab your favorite pair of stilettos and be prepared to be the talk of the town!

Those are all beautiful! I think my favorites are definitely tie tunic and the empire tank-I should give them a look since I'm in need of some new Spring/Summer clothing :)

Normally I am not an angry pOster but after my craptastic visit to apartstyle they hAve unleashed the angry consumer within. I bought the groupon for $125 to get $500 worth of merchAndice with a "stylist". On my appointment day I came to a shoddy little showroom in a pArtculArly sketchy area of Chelsea. After being introduced to my "stylist" Melissa, who was more into her chat and bbm than helping me. In fact she sat there the entire time while I lpoked at the measly selection myself. Now the clothes are alright, but too trendy and not well made at the price listed. However there is no price on good service but unfortunately there was none of that. After looking confusedly myself, I told Melissa there was nothing there that interested me she told me to email me and I could get an online credit and I was sent on my way. No follow up email, nothing. For the price and the luxury this company is attempting to attain, they really are crap and frankly you will get much better service at forever 21 or any other store.
