Coconuts Britain Riding Boots Review and #DSWShoeHookup Giveaway

Friday, December 06, 2013

Disclosure: DSW provided me a pair of boots to review. The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and are not indicative of the opinions or positions of DSW.

Boots. Stilettos. Wedges. Sandals. If a pair of shoes have a "wow factor" about them and the shoes fit, I'll wear them! The Coconuts Britain Riding Boots (Available in Black, Cognac, or Brown) fits that bill perfectly. These boots are perfect in every way - true to size, sophisticated, versatile, comfortable, and undeniably chic. I love the ankle straps and buckle accents, which adds to its sophistication.

The versatility enables these boots to sync harmoniously with a myriad of outfits, whether it's a dress, skirt, leggings, or skinny jeans! They're fashion-worthy as they're functional to get you through the cold, blistering weather! The Coconuts Britain Riding Boots are normally valued at $259, but you can buy your own pair at DSW for just $149.95. Also, be sure to sign up for their Rewards Program - it doesn't cost anything. Do You Speak Shoe Lover: Style and Stories from Inside DSW #DSWShoeHookup

Disclosure: This book was provided to the reviewer. The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and are not indicative of the opinions or positions of DSW.

My love affair with shoes began at an early age. Shoes exude and provoke confidence, allure, style, and femininity. Marilyn Monroe said it best: "Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." I also like what Christian Louboutin had to say about shoes: "There is an element of seduction in shoes that doesn't exist for men. A woman can be sexy, charming, witty or shy with her shoes."

Linda Meadow, author of City Baby L.A. and founder of Guru Mommy, also help pen the ultimate book for shoe lovers! Do You Speak Shoe Lover: Style and Stories from Inside DSW includes shoe advice, including for the working girl, picking the perfect date night shoes, or style on the budget, such as signing up for DSW's free rewards program - every time you shop at their store, you reap benefits!

Although this book entails 225 pages, it is jam-packed enough with enough information to satiate all shoe lovers, whether they're male or female. One of my favorite parts of the book is the "Fashion of the Decades" section, which covers the shoe trends between 1930s - 1980s. This book also features stories from DSW employees and customers, which adds a nice personal touch to the book.
